Description

The Waterline Design Chafe Protection for Wire Lifeline is a traditional and effective solution to protect sails from abrasion caused by contact with lifelines and fittings.

Leather has been used for centuries as a natural material to reduce chafe and extend sail life. These pre-punched leather covers are designed for easy installation and can be sewn directly onto the lifeline using the included needles and waxed polyester thread.

Each pack contains two leather protections, two needles and waxed thread, along with clear sewing instructions. The protection can be removed and reused when replacing lifelines or repositioning deck hardware.

For use around lifeline turnbuckles, two leather protections are required to ensure full coverage.
