Its design allows the anchor to naturally orient itself into the correct attack position during deployment, supporting consistent penetration of the seabed.
Key design features include a curved, lead-filled tip to promote immediate penetration, a hollow shank to optimise weight distribution, and a concave base surface designed to maximise holding power. Large side wing plates help maintain anchor stability during changes in wind or tide, reducing the likelihood of release once set.
For recovery, the anchor incorporates a flat pivot surface on the underside, assisting controlled breakout from the seabed.
