Balearic Islands courtesy flag for vessels navigating or visiting ports within the archipelago.

The Balearic Islands courtesy flag features four red horizontal bars on a yellow field with a purple canton containing a white castle and is commonly flown by visiting vessels when cruising or calling at ports within the Balearic Islands. While the Balearic Islands form part of Spain, this regional flag is displayed as a sign of local respect and identification and is flown in addition to the vessel’s national ensign. Intended for courtesy use, the flag should be displayed from the starboard spreader or a designated courtesy flag halyard. Manufactured from marine-grade polyester, it is suitable for regular outdoor use in Mediterranean cruising conditions.
