Unlike thinner products tailored to specific coating families, Thinner No.9 offers enhanced versatility for workshop use where multiple paint types are applied. However, it is important to follow manufacturer recommendations for each coating, as excessive thinning can adversely affect film build and performance.

Suitable for use with appropriate International one-pack paints and varnishes above the waterline, International Thinner No.9 supports both professional and DIY marine painting projects.

In addition to thinning antifouling and bottom paints, Thinner No.3 can assist in spraying one-part varnishes and finishes by improving atomisation and reducing viscosity where necessary.

Used correctly, it supports better paint performance and easier cleanup, but over-thinning can negatively affect paint finish — always follow the paint manufacturer’s recommendations.
